Halifax’s Second Goth Festival!

After the hugely successful first goth festival in Halifax in February 2025, The Grayston Unity has announced a second weekend of gothic excitement, this time bigger and better. Running through the 13th-15th of February, and so far announced are The Chameleons, at the candle lit Halifax Minster, Ghost Dance in a new venue space The Albany Arcade, and The Cover of Dark, a five piece hailing from Leeds.

Expect to see more events in the coming weeks, such as gothic markets, in conversations, and DJ sets. The last Goth festival brought a wide range of audiences from outside of Halifax- a big part of The Grayston Unity’s mission- to spread the word about Halifax’s music, art, and culture. Although it’s not Whitby, it’s close-knit, friendly, and all about supporting local artists and businesses. Partners for the festival include The Book Corner and Beetlejuice shop, both pillars of the Piece Hall and offering local books/gothic clothing. Check out The Book Corner for all your reading needs- gothic or not, and Beetlejuice for niche gothic fashion and brands like including Punk Rave, Banned Alternative, Hell Bunny and more.

Tom, The Grayston Unity’s venue manager, said “Over 60 per cent of ticket buyers came to the first festival from outside of West Yorkshire – many to visit the town for the first time – so it’s not just the participating venues that get the benefit.”
