Halifax Music Heritage Trail Guided Walk

Sunday 14th September 2025

1:00pm

What to expect
Halifax Music Heritage trail was set up over 10 years ago to remember and celebrate the surprising popular music heritage of Halifax by visiting the sites of long gone venues and telling many stories of the artists who played them. The guided version of the trail only takes place once a year and is lead by Michael Ainsworth, the trail founder and promoter of live music in the town since the 1980s.
Expect to hear tales of The Kinks, Joy Division, Dusty Springfield, The Jacksons, John Grant and many more.
The trail starts from The Grayston Unity, the town’s grassroots music venue. It takes around 2 hours and involves quite a bit of walking. Book direct from the bar or via SeeTickets https://www.seetickets.com/
