Brigantes are a dynamic 5-piece band from Halifax, West Yorkshire, known for their distinctive fusion of punk, dub, ska, and reggae. For the past decade, they have built a strong presence in the national music scene, performing at various shows and festivals nationwide. Their unique sound has shared stages with notable acts like Jaya the Cat, Random Hand, Millie Manders and the Shutup, Dan Donnolly and John Sevink, DeadBeat at Dawn, Faintest Idea, Riskee and the Ridicule, Dub Pistols, Popes of Chillitown, The Toasters, and more.
Last year, they headlined the Piece Hall’s stage for the ‘In the Yard’ festival. This summer, Brigantes are set to perform at three major UK festivals and are gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Halifax Town Stories’. Over the past three years, they have released four singles and two EPs, with their latest, ‘Creation of the Illest’, showcasing a masterful blend of their tightly woven influences.
As best friends and bandmates, their chemistry both on and off stage is palpable, driving their energetic performances and innovative sound.
